National Park of Sibillini Mountains

A mountain range that lies in the heart of Italy and reaches, with Monte Vettore, the 2,476 m. A land where magic, nature, history and local culture have helped to define a unique and unrepeatable reality. And here in the realm of the mythical Sibyl was born in 1993 the Sibillini Mountains National Park (about 70,000 hectares) with the aim to protect the environment, promote sustainable socio-economic development and encourage the enjoyment to any person so as to create a “park for everyone.” Wolf, golden eagle, peregrine falcon and many endemic species are the most obvious signs of biological diversity and richness that, together with the charm of abbeys and medieval town centres, scattered like a wreath at the foot of the mountain range, have contributed to determine an ancient and fascinating world where time seems, even today, have stopped to pay homage to a reality of such extraordinary beauty.
